Many of the buildings in the colony are very well preserved. Even though about ten of the houses are inhabited all year round. The owners seem to take good care of their second homes and take advantage of the winter period to renovate them. There are still a few abandoned houses and more than fifteen ruins in the village. This is a lot considering the very few houses present. In these ruins there are some emblematic buildings anchored in the local history like the oil factories or the post office.
