There are no real seams around the houses in this village that delimit the properties. However, for most of the houses, a threshold system can be seen which differentiates the private space of the house from the public space of the street.
The majority of the houses have a principal entrance oriented to southern. Access from the street is via a ramp or stairs that mark the first threshold to the public space. This path then leads to a terrace from where the front door can be reached.
There are some exceptions :
The houses at the entrance to the village, along the main road, have direct access to the street. Here, there is only the threshold to the road.
The contemporary houses mostly have an east-facing entrance but follow the same threshold pattern with steps leading to a terrace.
Sometimes there is an additional threshold with both a road, then stairs, and the terrace but this is rare.
