Conclusions

Aidonia is a small village, located in Andros, one of the countless greek islands. Even that, as a distinguished characteristic among the others, Andros is a very windy land peace of the Aegean Sea.In consequence, the traditional architecture of the island has to adapt to these harsh weather conditions. The main construction materialis stone, a very common soil resource spread all over Greece.

The majority of the architectural village achievements are creating a very beautiful stone residential housing area. Despite the lack of theoretical acknowledgmentsconcerning building structures and manufacture technology, the villager's workers proved outstanding settlements constructions skills. Possessing an extraordinary building technology empirical sense, most of them built their houses by borough different kinds of building elements, improved by time in the big cities by people with specializedconstruction studies.

Surprisingly, being all the time concerns by the functional aspect, all the esthetical connections that we are making nowadays are the result of a strictly functional way of construction. Of course, it’s not necessary to put their estheticapproach under a question mark. All smaller details that they created, makes us understand that their sense of beauty wasn’t neglected entirely.
